Customer Reviews

Road trip amusementI am always looking for new road trip activities. This is a great one for all ages. The pictures on the cards are cute and make it clear what you are looking for. You can play it over and over because you never know which cards you'll draw. Three is a good mix of highway and city cards so it works in both settings. The cards themselves are good quality and stand up to many uses. 5Like "find a blue house"A just ok travel game for the car... I think you could probably to do this on your own without cards. Like "find a blue house", or "find a brown truck". Ok, not the best travel game my kids have ever played. Could be more engaging and entertaining. 3Beats the iPad!This game is SO MUCH FUN! My 8 year old used to complain about being bored in the car. After we get tired of telling her to look out the window, we usually hand her the iPad to keep herself entertained. But now we have this awesome game! We keep it in the back seat and play any time our car trips last more than 30 minutes or so. We usually pair up so the driver can play too. We all end up laughing and being silly...it truly creates some wonderful family memories. Even my 17 year old enjoys playing! I wish there was an expansion pack. 5Fun car funWhen I was in college I went with a friend and her family on a trip down from San Franscio to Cabo/San Lucas. We had a simular game and played it on the drive down. The game was soooooo much fun and I have been looking for it eversince. It doesn't help that I don't remember the name of the game or the makers of it.ANYWAY scavenger Hunt card game is the closest I have found since. It's simple. There are cards with pictures on it and you have to find them during your drive. The cards have anything from a cat to a red car to a gas pump there is more as well. It's a lot of fun to play on a road trip.I gave it a 4 out of 5 because these pictures are a little simplistic. The original game I played had UFO and sewage treatment plant and other things that were a little more difficult and made it a lot of fun when they were found. But I think this would be great for kids and I am looking forward to playing it with my nephews on the way down to Fla. this summer. 4Travel game bargain!Great value for a travel game. Our 7 yr-old grandson really likes it...his nearly 4 year-old sister likes it, but tires of it sooner. Can adjust rules to whole car or per person looking for whatever is on cards. The driver tired of hearing the same things come up... :) Probably 30-60 minutes at most, then on to something else...but can come back to it. Some of the comments about what type of area you are traveling in does make a difference, but have found just using the "Switch" card (even if you don't have it and just need to call it) helps with the younger players. 5Good for populated regionsWe were on a 3500 mile road trip with our teenage grandsons and thought this would be a great way to fill in the time. While we were traveling through populated areas, it was easy to play; however, get out to the stretches in Nevada, Montana, etc., and it becomes nearly impossible to find the objects. Trying finding someone riding their bicycle or clothes hanging on a line in the middle of nowhere became rather funny. Perhaps they should come up with a game that incorporates things like, "look for a vulture", or "find a tumbleweed" for remote areas ... which seems to be the norm in most of the western U.S. 4Good addition to the road trip myThis game was pretty fun it's kind of a Twist on I Spy. The cards are a little big and definitely could use more variety. Looked for additional packs with additional scavenger hunt items but was unable to find them. we played it a little different or everybody kept five cards and every time you spied something then you turned it over and got another card to always keep 5 cards in your hand until we ran out of cards in the deck. This made the game go faster and kept everybody more engaged then just having 5 cards in the first person to find everything wins. as a family of three sometimes it still went pretty quickly with a 10 year old boy who is easily distracted. Might be better with two children who may be 10 and under 4Our Favorite Travel Game! This was probably my favorite thing we got for our car trip, and I think I can say the same for the kids. It's a stack of cards each with a picture and a description. The way we played is we dealt out a few cards to each person so we all had our own goals but we also cooperatively searched for all the items. We didn't really want to compete and see who got all of their items first because what we came across on the road was partly luck based and we still have one little guy in the family. I also found this great for the little guy because I could pick out the cards I wanted him to have - things that were easy like "yellow car" and save the harder ones like "license plate that starts with S" for the older ones. Also, the driver was also able to play which is a difficult accomplishment in most other travel games. 5not for interstate drivingthe concept of this game is great.... but there are way too few cards with things that can be found on the interstate. If you're family is like ours, most of the car activities you need are for interstate long-distance travels, not day to day city travels where you might see someone walking a dog for example. I am currently making homemade cards to add to this game in preparation for our next vacation. 3Road tripI am so glad we found this game! My daughter is 6 years old and well traveled. She does not use media in the car so I am always looking for things to engage her when traveling. She loved this game. There are times the objects are hard to spot and then you will hit a jackpot, like driving by a rest stop after going down country roads. She was entertained completely, talking and laughing and then content to entertain herself afterwards. It's a great game for the road. 5
