Weapons teams, such as sniper, mortar, and flamethrower squads, are crucial for any Bolt Action army, offering strategic versatility. Australian snipers, despite lacking specialized gear, often consisted of skilled marksmen, many being professional hunters. Early campaigns saw the use of 2-inch mortars, but they proved ineffective in jungle environments due to canopy interference. Later, Jungle Divisions were equipped with US-manufactured flamethrowers, which excelled at eliminating enemy bunkers.
